Eat, Gay, Love: A Memoir by Calum McSwiggan

adventurous emotional informative reflective fast-paced

4.0

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Travel memoirs are my favourite kind of nonfiction, and I of course love all kinds of queer stories.

This story follows Calum after the end of a 6 year long relationship when he decides to pack up and travel to Italy to teach for the summer. We follow him as he travels around Europe and Asia, meeting different queer people from so many walks of life. We see him form connections and close relationship, and we see some of them break down.

It's honest and important. I loved it.
