For the Boys by Amanda Chaperon
3.0
3.5 stars, which i feel like seems harsher than in reality it is. This book was fine, I liked it overall, its just not the most incredible book I've read. With that being said, there's a few reasons that I was held up on this book at like page (I think) 30 ish for 6 months it almost hit my DNF shelf? Personally, I find it difficult to read books that so poorly mishandled serious situations, especially when the book is aimed at younger readers. Secondly, a girl who is about to graduate law school is for suuure acting like she's on high school, maladaptive and toxic (honestly both the mmc and fmc). Maybe this opinion is rooted in my own experience about to graduate from higher education with a doctorate, but I've come to find that attitude in grad school is humbled and tamed very quickly. The book overall, good, had decent storyline, had good potential for plot, I like a well written smut scene. Berk - a little annoying beating the same horse about being insecure. Brent - annoying when he was pouty. Understood the point for both people being like that. Easy read, easy to follow along and understand what's going on. Interesting enough once I picked it up I finished it while i was on vacation.
