Especially when you finish series like Scarlet Scars !!!! It is so hard to find something after that. I mean, where else can I find something so good where I found everything that I love in book. After finish this book it still is with you in your thoughts.

Grievous was darker continuation of the events of the previous section Menace. I knew that Scarlet (Morgan)is a strong woman, but damn what she survived being with Vor, and the fact that she didn't give up and is still fighting damn again ... what a character.

This book shows her past what she has been through and I can't get my head around at how this story is fuck up. It is really bad and disturbing but at the same time it's captivating as hell. Once again  I couldn't put the book down.

And Lorenzo ... he is crazy weird and funk up and  I still didn't know what to make of him. In this part he was more a human and because of that more troubled.

I could see that he has a soft side of course in his own fuck up way. I didn't see him as monster or soulless asshole. Don't get me wrong he was an asshole most of the time or yeah, he can kill a person without blinking. But somehow that didn't matter. What matter was that that finally someone see him as a person, saw more what is behind the mask. You now, took a effort at least and didn't ran or judge. And that someone for Lorenzo was Scarlet.

Beyond the story and the characters I liked in this series that there was something more than empty love story. It forced me into thinking on various issues. Eg. Fact that most of us judge people by appearance, we become more and more vain and more selfish, so few of us really care about other people's problems. But back to the point. There were a lot of different quotes at which I thought to myself, "That's so true".

"You see, people don’t really listen anymore, no... they just sit around waiting for everyone else to shut up, waiting until it’s finally their turn to talk. Back and forth, an endless cycle that gets us nowhere, because nobody really gives a shit about what’s being said."

Or from the first part:

"There’s a reason girls yell ‘fire’ instead of ‘rape’, why we lie and say we have boyfriends instead of just saying ‘no’ when we’re not interested. Because a lot of men respect another man’s property more than they respect a woman’s right to her own body. "

Yeah, It was great great series. Usually I don't read the series that tells the story of one couple. For me always another part is boring, because generally it is the same book written in different words and circumstances change but the feelings and problems remain the same. In this series, it was different. Between the parts it could be seen a change in the feelings that are growing. As for the development of events, it was completely different, in the second half was more action. In fact, the first part was the introduction of history, leaving you in suspense and impatience, wanting more.
