Haunted Love by Cynthia Leitich Smith

Really enjoyed reading this! Very cute, couldn't even look away from the screen!

In fact, I was rather disappointed when it ended. I really wanted to know more about the characters and because of the length of the piece there wasn't much "development." Still! We learned basics of who these characters were - Cody, Ben, Sonia, Ginny, Cody's uncle.

SpoilerCody was the new owner of a theatre and was pretty much just opening it up, not really social, had an abusive childhood, and found a way to overcome his problems. Then there was Sonia, the ghost residing in the theatre who had been murdered a while back. She was the scary ghost who later turned out to be a protective ghost and potential love interest. Ginny was the new girl in town who's family's goal was to pick up the quiet town and make it thrive. She'd pretty much barged into Cody's life and became the first employee at the theatre, rather innocent and cute girl, that is, until she's discovered to be Sonia's murderer. Cody's uncle never made an appearance since he was six feet under but we learned he was rather abusive and nobody really seemed to miss him. His "death" haunted Cody though. And lastly, there's Ben, Cody's junior who apparently had the hots for Ginny but is actually a vampire hunter (runs in the family) and he had been trying to kick Ginny from the small town. Out of all the characters, Ben is he only one that I felt was rushed. He only made an appearance two or three times and when we learned what he really was, Cody was explaining.
