4.75

It’s 4 am and I am an emotional mess. My eyes burn from crying and my mind is still trying to process it down. It was awful, it just fucking broke me and every single character in the course of it. And that is why it was bloody brilliant. Boi does it has issues, and it was way darker than my usual reads. But damn. Let me sleep and I shall write down more coherent stuff.
I am coherent now: It is not a perfect book, or plot or story. So many trigger warnings. I cried so so much with all the stuff Neil went through the last part. And Andrew, holy mother fucking shirtballs. That was... I didn’t... It left me shocked to my core and I know Aaron is kind of a dick but He did what I would have done and I respect him for it.
And yet I gave it 4.75 stars because the characters are so full and interesting and boi do they carry this convoluted plot forward. Neil is my everything. I just love him so much. I love the foxes immensely and I do not claim to say they are either sane or functional but wow. They just went up there next to other iconic characters in my heart. Wymack and Abby are the parents they deserve.
Currently reading the last one and boi oh boi.
