My first experience reading Agatha Christie's writing was interesting, but it didn't entirely win me over. This book had its ups and downs.

At times, the story felt slow, with lengthy dialogues that seemed to wander without a clear purpose. Some conversations felt overly extended, making the storytelling sluggish. There was also a tendency to introduce unnecessary details, leading to repetition that didn't add much value.

One noteworthy aspect was Hercule Poirot's investigative approach, which relied heavily on the opinions and anecdotes of characters rather than concrete evidence. However, the book did shine in its intricate murder descriptions and their connections to a previous crime.

"Hallowe'en Party" didn't entirely live up to my expectations, but it has sparked my curiosity to explore more of Agatha Christie's works in the hope of finding a five-star read.
