Colouring The Rainbow: Blak Queer and Trans Perspectives - Life Stories and Essays By First Nations People of Australia by Dino Hodge

informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.5

From personal memoirs to queer theory, this collection showcases diversity in life, style and approach, making it readable and often surprising in the best ways. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SistaGirls, BrothaBoys, gay men, lesbians and trans voices are all here, as are accounts from those raised in community and those who found their way home. I particularly enjoyed the pieces by Crystal Johnson, RJ Sailor, Brett Mooney and Sandy O'Sullivan, but a gift here is simply the myriad of stories to hear.
