The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake

3.5

I really wanted to like this book, it had an interesting world and interesting characters but it left me feeling so unsatisfied.
The 6 different povs was kind of disorientating and left me not feeling invested in any of them and not really liking any of them. Libby kind of felt like the main character to start with and it felt like her and nico would develop a lot through the book but that also felt very under cooked. I also really didn’t like Libby by the end because of everyone’s pov, but I really wanted to like her.
The time jumps were confusing and lot of the plot felt kind of unfinished. Also some of the reflecting back on memories was confusing because in the middle of someone’s chapter it would go back mid scene for a whole lot and then randomly jump back to the current time.
I also saw someone mention we didn’t know what anyone looked like and that’s so true. The illustrations throughout were cute but I also didn’t know who any of them were for sure, maybe they make more sense in the printed version.
I really don’t want to read the second one because I was just trying to get through this one, but it left me feeling like I need to read the second one. Maybe it will make more sense of this one.
