My first review on here had to be on a book that brought up so many thoughts and emotions like this one. I think what marked me the most was how relevant the ending words on healing are to todays society but most importantly churches, congregations and most religions out there. So much wrong has taken over something as beautiful as faith that it makes me wish Ms Lyle could have at least a Ted talk out there. The strength of the characters gets you involved in the story and hoping for a best possible outcome, while knowing that it likely won’t come. A great novel, all I wish for was a little more pace and rhythm in the unraveling of the story as well as at least a glimpse into Julie Halls perspective on everything.
