You, with a View: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level: 1-2 (not super graphic scenes, but door is open)
Noelle has not had a good year, fired from her menial job, her Gram dying, dealing with her grief, and living back with her parents, she is not in a good place. When she finds an old photo of her Gram with an unknown man and a love letter, she takes to the internet to find out this last secret about her Gram. When she gets the message “that’s my grandfather”, she gets excited, at least until she finds out it’s her high school nemesis, one of Forbes 30 under 30, Theo, she is even more determined to meet his grandfather and find out her gram and Theo’s grandfather’s story. When she finds out about the thwarted honeymoon road trip, she decides to follow the plans, and invites Theo’s grandfather, Paul to go with her, but unluckily for her, Theo also decides to join. During the road trip, she slowly learns about her Gram and Paul’s story, starts to heal from her grief, finds herself, and as she and Theo grow closer, romance as well. But when the trip is over, Noelle has to decide if she can continue to believe in herself, and fight for what she wants, or not.
I absolutely loved this book!! The character development, the banter, the truth, the emotions, I laughed, I cried, all of it was top notch. The pacing is perfect for a romance novel which is to say, most of the story happens over about a month. Theo is a flawed male main character, but is absolutely perfect for Noelle. I like that it had the enemies to lovers trope, only one bed trope, and other yumminess, the dancing is adorable!! Noelle is going through a lot in the book, but Jessica (the author) doesn’t take away from Noelle’s emotional cleansing journey. You can see that the healing is a process, not a switch that’s flipped. It made me miss my own grandma, especially the last letter, lots of tears from me at that one. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for an emotional journey with great character development, and a road trip romance.
