Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
this book is described under the the genre "Jewish", so maybe I'm not culturally the correct target for this new fiction. However, the smugness came through crystal clear by page 5. I tossed this book after the beginning chapters described the female lead character in only, unironically, superficial male gaze stereotypes culminating with the narrator's astute rumination that the woman he was speaking to could definitely not have health issues because there's "not an ounce of flab on her well formed body." ICK!!!! Instant DNF.
