I mean, it's quite pointless because it's so short. Tell me more about that very important work Gregor was doing, and how come he was paid so much money for it (I mean, so much money!). Or maybe explain to me how come he was turned into the bug in the first place. Idk, just tell me something.
For what I could gather, Kafka himself never really said what this book was about and if it were up to him none of us would have ever read it. So the only thing I can say is that although the depression paralel is interesting, nothing in the book even hints in that direction.
