The Comfort Book by Matt Haig

4.0

Overall: comforting (lol) but also thought-provoking and challenging. Sometimes I feel like I’ve read so many “self-help” books that there aren’t very many new or original concepts that I read. But this book had some creative insights and I was impressed! It has little stories, short sayings, inspirational moments, challenges, call-outs, and more. This lived up to the hype for me and I almost gave it 4 stars (usually I reserve 5 stars for books that I GUSH over when finished). I also bookmarked some fave moments for future reminders.

Notable quote: “we stay precisely as alive and precisely as human as we were the day we were born. The only thing we need is to exist. And to hope.”
