At Home with Madame Chic: Becoming a Connoisseur of Daily Life by Jennifer L. Scott

4.0

I went to a bookstore with Enrique. He was looking for the new Neal Stephenson's book called "Seveneves". While he was browsing through shelves with Katya in his arms, I went to the nearest corner of the bookstore, sat in a chair and lazily looked through a couple of books right next to me. "At home with Madame Chic" caught my attention. This is a book written by an American lady, who went to live in Paris a decade ago. She lived with a parisian family, and her hostess was this really chic lady, who took care of her home and family with ease. In this book Jennifer implements knowledge that she gained from that experience in Paris to create a nice routine for the day, so that the mundane tasks don't seem unbearable. She shares some ideas for morning, lunch, and dinner time that can make your day so much better.
I had fun reading this book. It is written from a point of view of a stay at home mom, which I can greatly relate to, and it provides some useful info. It even has some playlists for morning, lunch and dinner time. Fun.
