If You Would Have Told Me by John Stamos

emotional funny reflective sad medium-paced

4.25

Funny, cheerful, heart-warming, and gut-punching. That's the vibes I got while listening to this book. John Stamos narrates the audiobook himself, and he really put emotions into each part as he read. I smiled with him, laughed with him, looked back fondly on Full House with him, and felt the devastating loss in parts of his life as he recollected them. His memoir showed me that he is one celebrity who comes from a humble beginning and is a person just like us who struggle with jobs, relationships, and how to cope with life. He's been through a lot to get the happiness out of life that he has now, and I'm thrilled for him. I did find how much art imitated life for him, Dave Coulier, and Bob Saget with Full House eerie, and no one could have guessed it would be that way. Listening to this audiobook felt like hearing from an old family member, and I'd recommend any fan of his check it out.
