Cruel Love by Kate Brian

5.0

What an ending! It's always depressing to see a book series end, especially this spinoff, seeing as I got so attached to it. I definitely didn't see the events in this book happening, and I have to give Kate Brian a lot of credit for tying the loose ends so perfectly together. I hope the Private series turns out more like this, because it my opinion it's starting to get a little over-theatrical and, well, stupid.
In an odd way, Ariana is one of my favorite characters of all time. How easily she can put on a new identity, how she handles stressful situations in a panicky way. It's unbelievable, really, that a teenage murder can make you sympathize with her, even cheer for her. You don't really notice it until now, when the series ends that, well, you kind of WANT her to get to Reed. You kind of agree that, yeah, so-and-so is going to ruin her new life and should die before it happens. This series was terrific. So many emotions in me were stirred. I'm going to miss it dearly.
