I started this series per recommendation, and it did not disappoint! This does not read as a second book in a series. It is not slow or functions as a filler to move on to the conclusion of the story. Amy Kuivalainen writes really well, she writes great men, and she writes female MC that are badass, smart and not 19. Loved it! I personally really enjoyed that academia is not portrayed as stuffy or nerdy.
