This collection ranges from short poems to multi-short stories. They introduce the reader to the complexity of Indigenous lives in North America--the ugly, the beautiful, the devastating, the enriching, etc. Not all will be to your tastes, but overall the book will give a more encompassing understanding of Indigeneity and queerness (and the intersections between the two). Slow-paced only because it is a book you can read in stints, entry by entry; there's not overarching plot you will need to follow.
