. . .I really don't know what to think about what I just read. . .

For starters I liked the first I liked the first book way more I actually gave it 5 stars if I remember correctly. This book barely gets 4 in my opinion.

I love crazy mcs but Gin craziness got nerfed the more he liked Ash. Which is a pity.

Gin is an asshole to Ash 80% of the book and not the kind that makes readers blush. E.g. calling Ash kid. Calling Ash a dog and making him wag his "tail"....

"I love you."
"So what?"

Excuse moi????

Throwing money at Ash, telling him to leave the house. Someone who has nowhere to go to.

Down playing Ash's trauma and threatening him with it.

And let's not forget the Stockholm syndrome trope

Their dynamic took some getting used to i didn't like it or dislike it.

Aside from that there are also the other 20% which I liked

Ash rolled his eyes. He lifted his hand and flipped me off as he took a big ass swig from his cup. I chuckled, but I kept my eyes trained on him. Something was changing in me, but I couldn’t place a finger on it. I wanted to pull Ash into my lap, wrap him in my arms, and keep him safe from the outside world.
I wanted to protect what was mine.

If Ash left me, I would drag him back, kicking and screaming. My puppy was way too entertaining to ever let him go.

Overall for I don't think it was worth the time. This book didn't make me blush or giggle and I didn't feel immersed in the book while reading. It felt like something was missing.
But I guess there was some important stuff for the Overall series so it's worth a read for those who plan on reading the whole series.

I really hope Benitos book is better.

Have fun🔨
