I had some issues with this book. It was a cutesy Cinderella retelling kind of a story and it definitely had its moments but I definitely did not enjoy Benedict's behavior in some scenes.
Besides that, my favorite parts were probably those with Mama Bridgerton who is one of my favorite characters both in the books and in the TV show. She is just the right mix of protective, loving, sassy and strong.
The more Bridgerton books I read, the easier it is to pick up the next one, so I'll go and start the 4th one, I'm really curious how it'll play out for Pen and Colin (especially considering some of the things Colin said about her in this book...)

He was too pushy and too intense with Sophie and blackmailing her into coming to London with him was certainly not the way to make her stay with him.Besides that, my favorite parts were probably those with Mama Bridgerton who is one of my favorite characters both in the books and in the TV show. She is just the right mix of protective, loving, sassy and strong.
The more Bridgerton books I read, the easier it is to pick up the next one, so I'll go and start the 4th one, I'm really curious how it'll play out for Pen and Colin (especially considering some of the things Colin said about her in this book...)
