A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham

"But there’s a reason clichés exist. It’s because they’re true."

Being the child of a serial killer has not made Chloe Davies life easy, but she had moved on, until more murders started anyway - 20 years later with her father still behind bars.

I thought I knew the ending, I thought I knew what was coming, but spoiler, I was wrong, so so wrong. Every character was suspicious at some point along the way but I still did not see it coming. Untrustworthy characters, unreliable narrator, red herrings, it had them all, all the good things that make thriller books so good. And the writing style made it an easy read, despite the awful things that happen during this book. All this from a debut novel, I am so excited to see more from her, I can see why this book has gone viral on pretty much every social media site.
