When I Stop Talking, You'll Know I'm Dead: Useful Stories from a Persuasive Man by Jerry Weintraub

3.25

This book is made of short vignettes seemingly made of capitalist parable. Some of it is quite compelling, all of it very human. Ego, the drive to succeed, the hungers success can breed. Jerry had a lot of valuable things to say at the end of his life. Almost all of it makes me want to never be like him.

If you read between the lines, you can guess that he was a huge asshole. This is especially obvious during the conclusion of the John Denver arc.

All in all, there’s a lot of useful stuff here.
