Mortal Gods by Kendare Blake
4.0
One of those books I bring to the bathroom because I can't put it down. Athena is an amazing protagonist, complicated and great and ah Odysseus I wish that she could've given him a chance...
Cassandra seems underdeveloped. Her initial hatred of Athena for bringing the war to them and 'killing' her I get. But she just ends up being hard on Athena 100% of the time and pretty much abuses Athena. It doesn't make sense. Her hate is so over the top and uncalled for. I dislike her more than Achilles.
Achilles definitely made everything more interesting. Like an intensifier.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now I'm going to request my library order the next copy.
