Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah

5.0

You wouldn't think apartheid and humor go hand-in-hand. Trevor Noah delivers an incredible account of his childhood, his family, and how he came to be. Focusing on adolescence, Noah illustrates the dangers of living in South Africa, the meals they most often ate, and how he would have to hustle to make any money as a dj. I consider myself a bibliophile, and although this is not my favorite book ever, it is certainly one of the most memorable.
