Hate by Tate James

Trashy, Wattpadcore, ridiculous, plot holey, wild, but SO SO easy and annoyingly addictive to read. This could be a testament to the writing and often cringe dialogue but I have never read a book so fast in my life and I don’t know how nor why.

University setting books are usually not for me, this gave Riverdale when including the gangs and MMA fighter MMCS. I have about 1000 criticisms, but hopefully my singular descriptions leave enough implications about how I felt. What made me uncomfortable was the whole barely legal vibe, her being 18, 17 when they met - which isn’t explained at the beginning for whatever reason - was just…a no from me. Hate that, if it wasn’t for that, I would’ve have liked it.

What I will say is the FMC is annoying and a little naive, but when can you expect from a girl who had her life upturned?
The MMC’s are your textbook possessive, bad boy archetypes, so they can be infuriating at times…matter of fact, all of them are infuriating. When I tell you this book reminds me of my teen wattpad days, I mean it, it is so reminiscent of the stories on there. Hope Dallas dies in the next book, with his predatory, groomer self. I hate his and Mk’s history - I was perplexed when Kody was obviously bother by this but didn’t beat on him like they did with Bark in the beginning. Bree is also annoying, I don’t get good vibes from her at all.

Not continuing as it isn’t my vibe…
