I was certain for the first 1/2-3/4 of this book that it would be a 2 or 3 star read at best. The characters felt boring and predictable, as did the story, and when you [seemingly] get the big twist it’s kind of a let down. But don’t you worry, folks, it ain’t over yet! What a wild turn of events in those final chapters. Of course I still feel like more work could’ve been done in the first half(ish) of the book to make certain things less obvious, but in the end it still got me.

Riley, my guy, let’s talk. Stop making your leading lady sleep with the bad guy. It’s a dead giveaway. As SOON as that went down I knew he was the villain.
