Cyn by Cari Silverwood

5.0

This whole series is a roller-coaster ride of intense action, steamy sexiness, and witty humor that made me giggle. That snark is one of the things I love about Cari Silverwood's books. I also love how much effort she puts into her world-building. Her stories always surprise me in some way and leave in even more in awe of her talent.

This is the final leg of the journey for Cyn, Vargr, Rutger, and their small army. The story begins right where the last one ended and I was immediately brought back to the heartache of loss the group had suffered. It doesn't linger on that loss long, however, and you are quickly thrust back into the action. I love the way the characters continue to grow and come into themselves. One of my favorite characters in this one is Willow. She is amazing and her intelligence and wit were some of my favorite moments. There wasn't as much sexy time in this one, but I think that worked perfectly. It made the focus more on the story line and the story line is strong. It could stand on it's own as a dystopian sci-fi without all the heat. I'm not suggesting that it would be better (it wouldn't be) just that it could.

This book wrapped up all the lingering questions and left me with a feeling of contentment with the entire thing. Everything happened in a way that made sense and didn't leave me wishing for a different kind of outcome. This is one of those series that I'm going to go back and read over and over again.
