The Elements of Eloquence: How to Turn the Perfect English Phrase by Mark Forsyth

5.0

This book teaches you a lot about words and how they work, but the thing that stood out the most is that mark forsyth is so dang funny. maybe it's because I wasn't expecting any humor that it works so well? I'll read his other books, for his humor alone.

I'm marking it 5 stars because it was such a joy to read. I do think it can be improved; mainly i wanted it to be so much more dense. There's A LOT in this book and it feels like we just touch the surface of a thousand different concepts. I understood each one, but wanted to spend more time with them as well.
