This book was a nice, slow read with switches in time through alternating chapters that was really easy to follow. The author does a good job of making you feel like you're being told a story, rather than just reading a story (if that makes sense). It is a reflection on how the scars of childhood stay with us through to adulthood and how that shapes our future selves. I would have liked a POV from each character, to gain more depth, but still a really enjoyable read.
