The Terrible and Wonderful Reasons Why I Run Long Distances by Matthew Inman

5.0

Received this book from Netgalley/Publisher in exchange for an honest review!

The Oatmeal. <3

I already love the Oatmeal and the comics there, and I was totally happy when I saw this one on Netgalley.

Quite a few of the comics are ones you already can read/find on the site for the Oatmeal, but there are also various new ones. I really enjoyed seeing old and new combined.

And yeah, thanks Matthew Inman for those horrific drawings of bees and hornets. *shivers* I do hope I will never meet those critters, I am not sure what I would do, stand still and hope for the best or run away as fast as I can.

The book is all about his running, what he thinks of it. What he thinks of diets. But also has tips and hints about running. And while I am not one to start running, I did enjoy those tips and if one day I decide to run I know I will at least have had some advice. :)

It was a really fun book and I was laughing out loud quite a few times, it was just that hilarious.

And while I don't run, I do other things and I know all about the Blerch and how annoying he is.

All in all, I would really recommend this book to everyone, even if you don't want to run, I would say read this, you won't be disappointed.
