I did not like this book. I don’t want to be too negative because maybe it was just not for me, but I did not get the world building at all. I was confused anytime they brought anything up and that’s not great considering the book heavily relies on and references the world building. But maybe that’s just on me and my bad relationship with world building. Also, and this is a slight spoiler if the main character was so obsessed with him why at every turn was she like no. I did not understand her at all. Overall, I was confused and bored and I did not care. OMG (another slight spoiler) having to teach an essentially immortal the concept of consent?!?!?! Why does he not know what consent is? Was that really necessary? Why couldn’t he just know what consent was?
