Silas Marner by George Eliot

4.0

Re-read rating and review in October 2018:
I really love this story. I could re-read this story again and again and never find it boring. I love the meaning behind the story, I love the characters, Eliot's writing, and how simple this story is. It's so pure and simple. I love it - please read it if you haven't already!

Original rating and review from Feb 2017:
Was a really slow start, but the end really made up for it. I wished part 2 was longer; Silas and Eppie's story was really interesting. But I think Eliot left it at a really decent ending, everything concluded nicely. Really glad I was asked to read this as I don't think it would have been something that interested me from just reading the blurb! Definitely want to try some more of Eliot's books, her writing style and characters are both really interesting.
