The Waves by Virginia Woolf

4.0

I'm struggling whether I wish to rate this book higher or not. In my opinion, some of Woolf's most beautifully crafted phrases out of her work I've read so far. However, the plot began to lose me as the book progressed. I found myself counting how many pages I had left in the book at points. I recognize that the later half of the book is packed with many ideas upon the human condition and connection with one another along with one's own identity. I enjoyed delving into these themes greatly, but found I really struggled to figure out what was going on plot wise at times. I think this book is in dire need of a reread at some point, now that I've come out of it understanding more.
