Full disclosure, I grew up on this series so my opinion is necessarily biased.
I'm of the view that there is no such thing as a bad Asterix book ... but some volumes, like this one, are are pretty good. In fact, this might be my favourite.
As a child, my library did not have a copy of this adventure. It was only as a teen that I saw this volume in the wild, and it became the first volume I ever bought. As an adult, I still enjoy reading it.
