Hollowmen by Amanda Hocking

3.0

I have had this book on my kindle to read for about a year now and today I decided to give it a go. Since it was over a year since I had read the first one "Hollowland", I only remembered bits and pieces of it. I was a little lost in the beginning but I was recapped enough to figure out what was going on. I found it hard at first to get into because Remy is such a tough character but I can imagine you could get like that if you had gone through what she had. I think this one had a more adult vibe to it, it could have been fleshed out a lot more. less walking and less carrying children more of anything else??? It didn't really seem to link to the previous book.
SpoilerAll of the characters from book one are not in it or dead, which I found strange.
It could almost be a stand alone. But I can imagine if they are read together it would be a lot more enjoyable.

SpoilerI found it weird that the love interest from the first one is not in this one and spoiler alert there is a new love interest. Who I think is way better that the other guy. I kept waiting for him to show up and it be awkward... hehe..

But over all a great quick zombie read.
