The Last Lavender Sister by Melissa Brayden

The dumbest dummy in earth, quiçá the universe

First of all, super recommend, that's without question.

I think I fooled myself here, somehow I thought this would be love-dovey with a touch of angst, but boy was I wrong! This was so many things and I'm so grateful for it. I finished this book with a soaring heart and very swollen eyes from crying silly, and not just once! My heart was ripped off and mended so many times I lost count. Damn sure Melissa kept me on my toes.

The characters, as always with Melissa, were lovely. It's really hard not to root for them, be delighted with them, be sad and happy for them. They surely take us for a ride. And the MC were both the sweetest, in very different ways. In one side we have Aster, the quirky, sweet, very honest, sweetheart, the world is her shell. Then we have Brynn, someone who we can see was hurt badly in the past and for a long time has been on the mend; you can see she's also a sweetheart, a lovely and more down to earth person, who saw Aster as special from the very beginning. I wish I could hug both of them.

However, I'm still a tad mad at her. I mean I can understand what made Brynn do what she did on many occasions, I really do (realistically, most people would act if not the same, close to it), but I cannot for the life of me agree with her decisions. I think she was such an idiot, chicken shit. But that's on me, I most of the time hold the characters I care a lot to a higher standard. I expect more than I should hahaha.

Anyway, this was just LOVELY and I loved every tiny bit of it.
