If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be – or whatever it is Bebe Rexa sings.

But anyways, Meant to Be it was. I was really hesitant to go into this one — I did not like the first two in the series but its my girls CLo so I had to try. And goodness I’m glad I did.

Ren is a homestead girl off to college. She knows no tech and no current pop culture but she can McGuyver anything with a paperclip.

Fitz is the campus Golden Boy. Everyone at Corona thinks he can do no wrong. He’s spent years crafting the perfect image and letting his charm get him everywhere. But is it? He’s got his secrets and timeline to follow.

And of course these two opposites end up tangled up.

After finally freeing the homestead and getting a taste of the real world – Ren’s world is turned upside down in a matter of weeks. Taking off on a whim on Spring Break with Fitz is her only option to figure it all out.

Was this book spicy in that usual CLo way? No. No spice but it didn’t need it. Spice would have felt gross. If Will Sumner was a Disney Prince this would be his book.

This book had a lot of heart much in the way Love and Other Words does.

Full of classic romance tropes – hidden pasts, grumpy sunshine, only one bed – this book works in so many ways.

Of course as this is a retelling of Disney’s Tangled there are a few nods to the film but CLo doesn’t knock you over the head with them.
