I absolutely adored this book! This story was so amazing just because of the amount of adventure and romance being built in the story. This is a low grade fantasy that involves magic where only few people are blessed with. The book was very easy to get into and would be a great place to start if you are totally new to fantasy and want to get started. The main character, Freya, closely reminded me of Freya in the Vikings Valhalla series on Netflix so after you are done reading, I would recommend watching until the second book is released in 2025. Danielle Jensen has confirmed that this book series is only a duology so there will be 2 books to read in this series. The story does not end with a happy ending and there will be a sort of cliffhanger sorry!
Down to the nitty gritty, I did not like that it took such a long while for the romance to build and was over with toward the end of the book because there was no room for the romance to grow.
