Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose

2.0

Everything was going fine until it wasn't...

The writing was simple and easy to follow which was good, but the plot was obvious and the twist was more if a lazy curve than any actual twist, especially considering you could see right around the bend.

4 POV was unnecessary, and it was hard to like any of the characters.

But you know what really pissed me off? The unforgivable and shameless childfree bait and switch. If someone says they don't want kids in a story or in real life, then LEAVE IT THAT WAY! It's not an excuse to push your weird rhetoric!

Stop making characters childfree if your goal is to turn them into parents in the end because that is a slap in the face to every person who chooses to be childfree and is continually told 'don't worry you'll change your mind'. We won't! So stop it! This was a complete unnecessary addition to the entire book! You could have come up with literally any other reason to explain a divorce but you chose this and for that I hate it.
