The Black Echo by Michael Connelly

3.0

"The Black Echo" is a very stereotypically police crime story which shows its age. Bosch himself feels like the grumpy older detective stereotype we all know, but despite that I enjoyed following his story (I have hardly read typical crime stories so for me this was even refreshing).Overall I really enjoyed it. I got half of the ending right and did not exepct the final twist which is always nice. What I really enjoyed was the idea of the black echo, I never cared much for vietnam media and the idea of the tunnels was presented in a gruesome and gripping way.
I'm really intriguied how the characters from the first entry are going to evolve over the next books.
