Destiny of Dragons by Jack Campbell

Audio book review.

A great continuation of the Legacy series! According to the synopsis, this is only a trilogy, but the book ends without a solid resolution to many of the worldly issues. Just figured you might like to know that ahead of time. I really hope it continues on!

Kira and Jason are again central to the story, finding themselves separated from Kira's parents and fighting their own battles in the same huge war. Kira is strong, and her love for Jason runs deep, but her mage powers are causing problems, and soon Kira starts blacking out. She has spells of time where she seemingly has no control over her mind and body, and can become quite violent. Early on, I was able to piece together what I thought was happening, and turns out I was spot on. Still, the resolution of this drama was a breath of fresh air for the story. I love the historical Indiana Jones feel of this story with the hidden weapons and the mysterious keepers of the only communication device that can contact Urth. I find the world-building fascinating! I am excited to read on, although I think now I need to go back and read the original 6 book series following Kira's mother and father. Ah well. Here's hoping I get to continue enjoying Kira and Jason's adventures in the future! :)
