the author didn’t lie when she named this book a twisted love story! it’s my 2nd book (first one was For Your Own Good) and I think I prefer the latter. this one was a really fun read, but not my favourite.

𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: Wes was my favourite. his point of view was the most interesting to read from! the characters overall were well developed and I loved how each of them was against the other, definitely some juice there 👀 however, I did find Bianca’s and Karen’s POVs boring. I wasn’t really interested in what they were up to and I didn’t really care for them. Ivy was also sometimes cute, but sometimes so annoying, silly and dramatic she had my eyes rolling to the back of my head. if I was Wes, I’d of left her agesss ago lmao.

𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚: it definitely was gripping which made me devour this book in no time. super easy to get into! I loved that we got multiple POVs, even if I was sometimes bored, because they are important to the story to see how it all connected, but police stuff in general normally always bores me.

𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩: I was properrrr invested into Ivy’s and Wes’s relationship, it was so juicy. 😂that was also what I loved most in this book—the nuances of their relationship. however, as I mentioned above, I was bored at times when it came to Karen and Joey Fisher’s case. but that might be a me thing. I did also feel like the middle part of the book dragged a little. however, the 3rd part of the book really hooked me and I liked the idea of the ending, but at the same time I feel like it was a bit convenient. I just kinda wished the story focused only on Ivy and Wes and their crazy relationship dynamics. it was still enjoyable though and I do recommend checking this out. I sure will keep this author on my radar because I love her crazy stories and her writing!
