Nugget and Fang: Friends Forever―or Snack Time? is written by Tammi Sauer and illustrated by Michael Slack. It was published on March 3rd, 2013, and follows two ocean best friends: Nugget and Fang. When Nugget, a minnow, begins attending school, he learns that sharks and minnows are not supposed to be friends. Fang, a shark, has to work hard to win back his best friend. He tried many things but nothing works. Then, when Fang saves the minnows from a fishing net and the minnows welcome him as a friend. The story ends with Nugget and Fang staying friends. I found this picture book to be appropriate for young elementary students, approximately ages 4-8. It is a funny and enjoyable book about best friends. I loved the illustrations and lively story. In the classroom, this book could be used as a fun read-aloud or to teach students about good friends. I didn't find anything particularly useful or problematic just a simple, funny, picture book that many students would enjoy! <Best friends> <Ocean> <funny> <picture book>
