Jacob, Jacob, Jacob… if you’re looking for a walking green flag book boyfriend, this book is exactly where you should be looking!!! Men written by Abby Jimenez 😍 >>>>
I checked this book out of the library yesterday and returned it today, suffice to say I devoured this book. Abby Jimenez puts so much humor, love, and emotion into her books it blows my mind. I adored Part of Your World and enjoyed this one just as much ❣️ I can’t say I favor one more than the other, because they are both amazing in their own respects, but here are my thoughts on Yours Truly:
Jimenez nailed the anxiety rep in this book, HARD. I felt so seen and heard by Jacob’s character, and it was extremely refreshing to see mental health representation done so flawlessly.
I love a book with handwritten letters, especially a romance - so if you are a lover of letters in books, this one’s for you! 💌
The medical and er scenes gave me major Grey’s Anatomy vibes and I was so here for it. The bizarre patient stories, the workplace romance, sob closet lunches - perfect, perfect, perfect.
Jacob’s family was also hilarious and so endearing, I loved the relationship most with his mom specifically and how wise she was. The grandpa also had me cracking up and reminded me of my own, he was great comedic relief.
Lastly, the idea of “love showing up” and manifesting the person for you - has my heart so full right now. This book has me in my FEELS!!!
If you haven’t read Part of Your World or Yours Truly yet… take this as your sign 🥰

Minor: Mental illness
positive mental health representation (best anxiety rep I've seen)
