Detective noir - minus the sex and violence, meets Japanese efficiency. A double murder orchestrated through the lens of Japanese train times hinging on a four-minute gap created in precise timetabling from 17:57-18:01. Must be nice. This book was alright - an easy read and satisfying, but the attention to detail almost went so far as to create a sense of blandness.
