The Vanishing Season by Joanna Schaffhausen

4.0

I read this series out of order. This first book is her best work by far. The author did a great job creating a continuous story line that had me guessing. Maybe a little more research on spouse abuse would have made this sound more factual. If a police visits a home where there is abuse the police can and should arrest the offending party without permission of the abused.

I liked the touch of the pet dog and how she wound that in. That was fun.
