Keep Paris by Kelly Kay

5.0

I started reading this book and I will admit I didn’t like it at first. But, Kay does a great job of writing from two voices. Danny is so believable and so is Lizzie. They have stark personalities but some similarities in their childhoods that make their attraction seem very real.

Later when they meet again, their banter is some of the best I’ve seen in romance novels - and their relationship reminds me a lot of the Hating Game in a way - or maybe it’s just how they talk to each other.

She has gems like this:

“Do you go home and practice patter at night?” She doesn’t hesitate. “When I’m not busy creating work superior to yours.”

Honestly, this is the perfect lovers to enemies to lovers. The characters are amazing, the story is fresh and I didn’t want the book to end. I savored each of the final chapters and loved every minute of it. This was my first Kelly Kay novel and I’m excited to read more of her work!

Seriously, if you love Tessa Bailey novels, The Hating Game or even Emily Henry, I would recommend this as a wonderful novel to get your romance fix.
