“Лолита»- это уникальная смесь противопоставляемых в обычном понимании человека эмоций- абсолютный ужас и чистейшая красота (имею в виду язык Набокова)
Horrific, dreadful, mesmerizing. Disgustingly beautiful
Wouldn’t recommend reading this book to highly sensitive people.
If you are a poet, an aspiring writer or anything in between; if your favorite thing in books is a unique writing style- then you would most likely appreciate this piece of work.
The ending was a bit dissonant with the rest of the story, but then again, what else could have happened to a horrible (and clearly a psycho) man like Humbert?
