This book was filled with way too many triggers Pregnancy, Addiction, Death, Murder, Pedophilia, Cancer, so much gaslighting, underage drinking, forced confiment and the list just goes on and on There was a lot going on and the ending felt rushed and disappointing. Was I expecting a happy ending after the emotional slog that was this book? No but boy did I wish the ending wasn't so damn depressing. Did the punishment fit the crime? I don't know but they're both definitely in need of serious psychological help and possibly to never be in the same space ever again. Truly irredeemable characters. she should've just told Nina what she did and gotten her some actual help instead of drugging her and lying to her the entirety of her adult life and creating more trauma for her.
