oh i loved this. a beautifully written book about a young sprinter as he deals with trauma, anger, and poverty. engaging, quick, and that cliff hanger end! ugh!
in a way, i suppose the result of the race doesn’t matter. it’s that he’s running, and facing everything there on the track, with support behind him. still. i must know.
